So I managed to get one semi-decent picture of me taken and uploaded before the camera died. I picked a belly accentuating shirt that I've never worn out of the house. It's me at almost 22 weeks... and yes, I excluded my head from the picture on purpose as it was, if you can believe it, the most unflattering part of the image:)
I really should have started taking pictures about 2 weeks ago because it seems that the belly has doubled in size since then... & it's not all fat rolls, I swear! My belly button even started looking funny over the last week... it's like it's trying to smile or something :/
Sleeping has become somewhat of an issue lately due to my swollen hands. I have to wear wrist braces on both arms everynight to help reduce the pressure that the swelling puts on my nerves. They're kind of uncomfortable to sleep in, but they do help a bit... now if I could just stop getting my hair caught in the velcro when I sleep :) Other than that, everything is going really well! We're getting more and more excited as the weeks pass :)

I saw girl parts!!
So my ultrasound was yesterday and I'm happy to report that there was definitely girl parts visible! We'd be really happy with either, but it feels so good to just know. I've been telling everyone from the beginning that I thought it was a girl anyway. I read a study a while back where 26 pregnant women were hypnotized and asked if they were having a boy or a girl and 25 of the 26 were able tell...weird...
More importantly, everything is great and the little critter is as healthy as can be! It's a bit weird that I was able to see the brain, kidneys and all 4 chambers of the heart and everything. I even saw her little spine which is in need of a good adjustment :) The ultrasound tech was trying to get a good picture of the baby's face, but considering her hands were up over her eyes and her feet were over her head, it wasn't really possible :) ...maybe she'll join the circus...

Two more days!!
My 20 week ultrasound is scheduled for 2 days from now, and Bryce and I decided that we are definitely going to find out the sex of the baby... we can't wait! We haven't settled on any names yet, but at least "He or She" is better that "It" :) Cross your fingers that it doesn't cross it's legs! Bryce is going to come to the appt and they also told me to bring a blank cd or something and they can record the ultrasound for us to take home. Interesting, I guess...

Pictures coming soon!
It's probably about time to start taking pictures of me to be able to document the growing belly! Bryce mentioned it and since I am starting to show a bit, I know some of you out there really want to see me all bun-in-the-oven-y. As soon as I find the charger for our camera, I'll start posting pics... even though I feel like a fat cow...
One neat bit of news for this week is that I'm starting to feel the baby move aroud a bit more! At first I wasn't sure if what I was feeling was really the baby, but it happens more and more and there is definitely no mistaking it now! It's really cool and pretty much makes up for the swollen fingers and hands, the arms falling asleep all the time and the constant need to utilize the bathroom :)
